Master Predictable Sinus Lift
Back for its 8th edition! This highly popular Sinus Lift Course combines expert-led teaching with extensive hands-on surgical training, equipping clinicians with the knowledge and practical skills to approach sinus augmentation with greater confidence.
You will learn how to assess the sinus, select the appropriate technique and perform both internal and external sinus lift procedures, including piezo-assisted sinus augmentation.
A major focus of the course is complication prevention and management, including the repair of Schneiderian membrane perforations.
Through extensive hands-on training with eggs, models and sheep heads, you will have the opportunity to practise sinus lift techniques using piezosurgery units and surgical motors in a realistic surgical environment.
With over 25 years of surgical and academic teaching experience in implantology, Prof. Puria Parvini will guide you through the techniques and protocols required to approach sinus augmentation with greater confidence.
The course is designed for dentists at all stages of their careers from beginners to experienced clinicians.

✔ Assess and plan sinus lift cases using appropriate clinical and radiographic assessment.
✔ Understand sinus anatomy and identify key anatomical factors that influence treatment planning and surgical safety.
✔ Select the appropriate sinus lift technique based on residual bone height, anatomy and clinical indications.
✔ Perform internal sinus lift procedures using predictable step-by-step protocols.
✔ Perform external/lateral window sinus lift procedures with appropriate surgical techniques.
✔ Apply piezo-assisted sinus augmentation techniques safely and effectively.
✔ Manage the Schneiderian membrane during sinus elevation and minimise the risk of perforation.
✔ Recognise, prevent and manage complications associated with sinus lift procedures.
✔ Repair Schneiderian membrane perforations using appropriate clinical techniques.
✔ Gain practical experience using piezosurgery units, surgical motors and relevant sinus lift instrumentation.
✔ Apply the techniques hands-on using realistic training models and surgical specimens.

Step-by-Step Sinus Lift
A practical look at the surgical techniques covered during the course
Access to the lateral sinus wall is established and the surgical field is prepared.

The Schneiderian membrane is carefully elevated from the sinus floor and walls.

Graft material is introduced into the prepared sinus cavity.

The graft is carefully positioned and adapted within the augmentation area.

A membrane is positioned over the surgical site as part of the closure and augmentation protocol.

The membrane is stabilised with tacks.

The surgical site is closed with carefully placed sutures.
