Join this popular 2-day hands-on course, returning due to high demand, and gain practical skills in the Split-Bone Block Technique (Khoury Technique) and the Trephine Minimally Invasive Bone Core Technique — along with essential Soft Tissue Management.
Don’t miss this opportunity to master the gold standard in bone grafting. Learn directly from Dr. Thomas Hanser, clinic partner with Prof. Fouad Khoury, and co-author of the best-selling Bone and Soft Tissue Augmentation in Oral Implantology.
A world-renowned expert in Bone Grafting & Aesthetic Implant Surgery, Dr. Hanser will guide you through proven techniques for predictable, long-term Implant success with fewer complications.
What will you learn
You’ll explore key surgical procedures through detailed clinical case presentations and surgical videos, then practice these techniques step by step in hands-on exercises to build real-world skills in autogenous bone grafting and soft tissue management.
1. Trephine minimally invasive Bone Core Technique
- Minimally invasive autogenous bone harvesting from the implant bed
- Minimally invasive autogenous bone grafting
- Successful trephine bone core graft fixation
2. Split-Bone Block Technique (Khoury technique)
- Safe retro molar bone harvesting
- Predictable Horizontal & vertical bone augmentation
3. Successful sinus floor elevation in cases of severe alveolar atrophy
4. Soft Tissue Management
According to Prof. Khoury, successful bone augmentation depends on impeccable soft tissue management.
This course covers the aesthetic, functional, and protective aspects of soft tissue handling throughout implant therapy—from tooth extraction and bone grafting to implant placement, second-stage surgery, and prosthetic rehabilitation. Master innovative flap designs for hermetic graft closure and for natural aesthetics in all three dimensions.
Learn how soft tissue grafts, minimally invasive techniques, and tension-free closure are essential for reducing complications and ensuring long-term tissue stability in 3D reconstruction procedures.

Safe, Predictable & Minimally Invasive Autogenous Bone Grafting
Autogenous grafts are readily available and free of charge, and their bioactive potential allows for predictable healing and regeneration without foreign body reactions. These advantages benefit both the patient and the clinician, making treatment safer, more cost-effective, and significantly reducing treatment time. Autogenous grafts support the regeneration of proper, immunocompetent, and volumetrically stable bone over the long term.
This course will cover the indications, scientific rationale, and clinical application of the Trephine Minimally Invasive Bone Core Technique and the Split Bone Block Technique (Khoury Technique). These augmentation methods utilize autogenous bone harvested intraorally via a safe and minimally invasive protocol—often from the implant site itself, avoiding the need for additional donor areas. Specific preparation of the bone graft further enhances its biological potential and accelerates regeneration.
This hands-on course focuses on safe autogenous bone augmentation and accompanying soft tissue management, featuring innovative flap designs to ensure secure graft closure and natural aesthetic outcomes in all three dimensions.
